The Bivou Café, 16 Zhonghe Village, Shuhe Old Town

Another lovely place to recommend for those looking for a tasty treat, the Bivou.

Tucked away behind the main tourist street is a classy joint at a very reasonable price. The owner and staff are very friendly, and very knowledgeable on the local happenings and places to see. English and Mandarin are good at this place.

Food quality is excellent, and the premises is incredibly clean - and there were no complaints about the bathroom (which gives this place an extra star for excellence!). The Bivou exudes a cleanliness which is a rarity in China, so much so, that I would break the cardinal rule of "no salads" in China. This place is a Singapore kind of clean (which is great!).

Parking is a short walk away (100metres or so), and the ShuHe Old Town entrance has some bollards in place which may make it a little tricky for those with prams or wheelchairs to navigate (but that's a common fare anywhere you go in China).

By far this place has the best view of any eatery in LiJiang, directly outside are local farms, and above you are the majestic mountains.

Bring your GPS, you might need it when tracking down this place, especially if you're not familiar with Shuhe Old Town - definitely worth the search.

It's also a great place to relax - lots of books and comfy seats to rest in. If visiting ShuHe Old Town, definitely consider dropping in.
