Trump Says To End Late-Term Abortion. Kamala Harris Responds By Celebrating Abortion With Handclaps. Twitter Crushes Her.

During his State of the Union address, President looked the Democratic party, the party that champions abortion, straight in the eye and blasted them for cheering the killing of a baby moments before its birth, then promised to ask Congress to pass a law banning late-term abortion. His statements elicited cheers from the GOP, a sit-down strike by the white-robed women of the Democratic party, and one clichéd platitude on Twitter from 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA), who theatrically interspersed her statement with handclaps.

President Trump stated:

There could be no greater contrast to the beautiful image of a mother holding her infant child than the chilling displays our nation saw in recent days. Lawmakers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother's womb moments before birth. These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and dreams with the world. And then, we had the case of the governor of Virginia where he stated he would execute a baby after birth. To defend the dignity of every person, I am asking Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother's womb. Let us work together to build a culture that cherishes innocent life. And let us reaffirm a fundamental truth — all children — born and unborn— are made in the holy image of God.

As Paul Mirengoff noted cogently at PowerLine prior to the SOTU:

I’m not sure how much Harris’ Asian heritage will help her in her quest for the Democratic nomination, but the other two identities are crucial to that quest. If Harris obtains majority support from African-American and from female Democrats, she’s virtually a shoe-in for the nomination, assuming a decent share of the African-American support comes from males. Unlike Barack Obama, though, Harris faces black opposition. And unlike Hillary Clinton, she faces female opposition. If Cory Booker gains traction, he might outdo Harris among African-American Democrats, especially males. So Harris must make sure she’s not outdone among female Democrats. This may explain why Harris is so determined to prevent anyone from getting to her left on abortion.

Mirengoff quoted Jon Scheppe of the American Principles Project, who had noted in The Daily Caller:

Harris’s record as a senator should keep her abortion industry friends happy as well. She earned a 100 percent voting score from the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (NARAL) in 2017, mostly due to her opposition of President Trump’s judicial nominees. She has helped vote down two key pro-life bills: the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, a bill that would have banned abortion after 20 weeks, and also the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act, a bill that would have protected Americans from paying for abortion on demand through either their tax dollars or their insurance premiums.

After Harris issued her tweet, conservative women let Harris have it:
